Solicitor General and Public Security leads and participates in a number of initiatives aimed at addressing serious and violent offenders. Predominantly the ministry strives to ensure that the public has adequate information about these individuals, the police have the tools needed to address these offenders and they can be managed and monitored in the community upon their release from prison.
