Job Summary

Correctional Peace Officer Career Opportunities

As a Correctional Peace Officer (CPO), you will ensure the care, custody and control of inmates as well as ensure the safety of centre staff and
the public. You will supervise inmates, monitor inmate behaviour and movement, conduct patrols and maintain log book and records.
This job maintains a physical presence on living units and interacts with inmates on a regular basis. The Correctional Peace Officer position
functions in a 24-hour operation with rotating shifts.

Salary or Wages:

CPO 1 - $23.27/hr - $28.54/hr ($47,076 - $57,732 per annum)
CPO 2 - $25.64/hr - $31.76/hr ($51,864 - $64,236 per annum)

* Please Note: All successful candidates will be hired at the CPO1 classification. Upon successful completion of: a nine-week staff
induction training program, a 12-month probationary period and two continuous years as a Correctional Peace Officer,
you may be eligible for reclassification to the Correctional Peace Officer 2 level
